Hi, my name is Ryan. I am a Christian and have a calling to be pastor. As my pastoral mentors have said, you don’t have to be ordained or gone through seminary, if you are a pastor then you are a pastor!
I’ve started this blog called ‘Meditating on God’s Word’ because I find that taking a simple scripture and discussing it can be of benefit to Christians and non-Christians alike. The idea is that we dig deep into God’s Word — the Bible — and we find relevancy to our lives, our struggles, our joys. My deepest desire is to encourage and to walk with each of you on your journey with Jesus.
My testimony is one of hope. I have lived most of life without Jesus. I was raised in a legalistic religious household and I never knew the grace of God. I have lived an interesting life, for instance, I’m 26 years old and have already been married twice, soon to be divorced twice! I want you to know that the church, the bride of Christ, is made up of REAL people with real issues. It is my desire that my posts be about authenticity and discovering Christ in a very real way.

Ryan, I saw your blog on facebook and it peaked my curiosity. I am a 48 yr old born-again christian who is a husband, father, and follower of Jesus who has really struggled big time with living for Jesus and I just want you to know that I found your blog a breath of fresh air in this idolatrous world and culture we live in. Thanks for the blog. I am looking forward to what the Holy Spirit challenges you with as you seek to live for God in this fallen world that we live in. Thank-you for the questions that you are putting at the end of the scripture challenges. They are thought provoking and that is what we all need to help us wrestle with and meditate on God’s Word.
